Frugal Freezer burritos

If any of you know my family personally you know that my husbands appetite is unlike any other LOL, which means our grocery bill can be sky high! But thankfully I learned to coupon and am constantly searching the internet for Frugal meals and snacks. I decided that for my first post I would share one of my personal favorites, my freezer burritos. These simple burritos are great to heat up for last minute snack or walking out the door with a baby on the hip to go run errands while he is in a good mood!!

Here is my process and recipie below:

I use 3 cans of refried beans, 1 can mild enchilada sauce, 3 cups of shredded cheese and flour tortillas.

Start by combining each ingredient in your mixing bowl. Now mix and you should end up with a smooth mixture.

Step up your cling wrap, place tortilla on the cling wrap and place about 1 1/2 -2 cups of mixture on the tortilla.

Now your going to fold up your burrito and wrap it in cling wrap. Store in your freezer!

This recipie makes about 12-15 burritos depending on how much you put in each one. To heat up I usually just stick it in the microwave for like 2:3o-3:00 for the perfect temperature! You can always add onions or other veggies in that you and your family would like. I truly hope these help you an your family get on the road to a frugal lifestyle that works for you!

  1. I love burritos and am vegan so I’m constantly buying the Amy’s frozen rice and been burritos but they are really expensive. I bet that I could make this with vegan cheese and rice instead and save myself tons of money from the premade frozen burritos!
